We are looking for a mechanic to join us at J&A Automotive!

We are a small VW & BMW independent specialist garage, owned by Jordan & Alana and we are based in Brownsburn Industrial Estate in Airdrie. We are looking for a skilled and passionate mechanic to join our team and work on our amazing customers vehicles with the highest level of workmanship and respect. We are looking for someone who can confidently carry out servicing and basic repairs on different brands of vehicles. If you are confident in timing belts, clutches, and diagnosis work this would be a great bonus and we would be very interested to hear from you, but this is not essential. You will need to have great customer service as you will be chatting to our customers face to face and on the phone about their cars, bookings and taking payments if required. As we are a small team, you will need to be confident working together with us, but also on your own. Basic computer skills will be required.

Our working hours are 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday. We do currently work every second weekend but this would not be a requirement for you but we may offer it to you if overtime is needed.

What are we looking for?

​

• Experienced mechanic - minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.

• Full UK clean driving licence

• A hardworking person, who takes pride in their work and carries out their work to a very high standard.

• Ability to confidently carry out servicing and basic repairs on different brand of vehicles.

• BMW or VW technician would be ideal but not essential.

• Own hand tools required.

What will we offer?

• Wages offered will be approximately £12.50 to £18 per hour dependant on skills and experience.

• 40 hours per week basic, weekends available but not required at moment.

• 30 days holidays per year.
